2023 CEC Graduation

2023 CEC Graduation

With the start of the new school year fast approaching, the CEC Director of Operations, Christie Halliday, took some time to reflect on last year’s graduation ceremonies. The Class of 2023 consisted of 31 determined and driven students. The ceremonies took place May 18 th, 2023, and the gym at the CEC was standing-room only. The ceremonies were led by Christie Halliday, and Anthony Kula, CEC Math teacher and advisor, delivered the graduation message.

The Former School Board Scholarship, sponsored by former school board members Greg Zylka, Susy Prosapio, and Bob Keeton was awarded to graduate Adam Hayes. The Sister Judine Cassidy Scholarship, presented by Sister Cordelia Korkowski was awarded to graduate Hannah Jennings. The Little Falls Community Schools Scholarships were awarded to graduates Joshua Berendt, Paloma Columbos, Aden Golden, and Makenzie Golden.

Patricia Pinckney was in attendance to award the RESOLVE Resiliency and Merit Awards. Patricia and Christie have worked this past year to create Project RESOLVE: Supporting Success – Recognizing Merit. This project is a work in-progress but the goal is to build a program that supports students in achieving their goals and the CEC program in providing resources and opportunities for their students. Through local supporters, they were able to raise money to donate to local organizations the students have worked with this past year and hope to build relationships with in coming years.

This year, the RESOLVE Resiliency Award was supported by Lynn McCarthy and TJ Hoheisel of Edina Realty. A generous contribution was awarded to the Habitat for Humanity of Morrison County in honor of graduates Tea Collins, Kira Reiman, and Austin Thompson. The RESOLVE Merit Award was supported by Prairie Lights: Pioneering Yesterday and Today. A generous contribution was awarded to the Food Shelf of Morrison County in honor of graduates Kyann Allen, Joleen Andres, Kaden Christen, Bailey Doege, Nathan Huling-Titrud, Kalani Pridgen, Trevor Seelen, Gabriel Stearns-Garman, and Thomas Wendland.

Congratulations to the Class of 2023 on their amazing growth and accomplishments!
